According to Indian Air Force sources, the aircraft is being recovered from this place, as reported by Indian media. The aircraft’s Russian-origin crew is safe, Air Force officials said. An Indian Air Force Jaguar plane was on a regular training flight from Ambala when it crashed earlier in Raipurani, which is close to the Panjkula region of Haryana. The pilot safely got out of the plane. Air Force authorities said it is under investigation.

After taking off from the Ambala airport in the afternoon, the Jaguar crashed at approximately 3:45 p.m. due to a system malfunction, IAF authorities said. Thankfully, the pilot managed to direct the aircraft clear of crowded areas before ejecting, so there were no casualties or injuries.

The IAF verified the event in a statement posted on X, stating: “An IAF Jaguar aircraft crashed at Ambala today during a normal training sortie after experiencing a system malfunction. Before successfully ejecting the aircraft, the pilot steered it away from any ground-based settlement.

A court of inquiry has been ordered by authorities to ascertain the cause of the collision.
