Iranian Interior Minister Sikandar Momeni was quoted by private TV Dunya News as saying that the administration has implemented stringent steps and intensified border surveillance to prevent unlawful movement because there is no more space for Afghan’s in the nation.

However, the Afghan Taliban administration has called for the repatriation of Afghan refugees to be done in a peaceful way rather than by force. It should be remembered that the Pakistani Interior Ministry instructed all holders of Afghan citizen cards to depart the country by March 31st yesterday.

As stated by the Interior Ministry, the deportation procedure will start on April 1 and severe measures would be implemented against foreigners living in the country unlawfully after March 31. The harsh measures taken against Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan have left millions of Afghan residents in a condition of insecurity.
