Modern gym: According to Khawaja Sohail Iftikhar, Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), the PTF has made significant progress in enhancing player facilities.
A modern gym, a first-rate café, and housing for players from out of town are all features of the Dilawar Abbas Tennis Complex in Islamabad.
According to Khawaja Sohail’s statement, tennis players and sports circles nationwide have expressed their gratitude for the action, which was taken under the direction of PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. The infrastructure for tennis in Pakistan has undergone a substantial and constructive transformation with this growth.
The athletes’ physical strength and conditioning will be greatly enhanced by the latest training equipment featured in the 1,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art gym, which includes leg presses, leg curls, leg extensions, cable crosses, and spin bikes. Additionally, three rooms have been set aside for female players and ten for male players to provide the greatest lodging options for those traveling from out of town.
Additionally, according to Khawaja Sohail Iftikhar, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi used his personal contacts to engage Serbian fitness specialist Lalovic and internationally recognized coach and trainer Robert Davis (USA). The young players greatly benefited from the two-week special training sessions that these professionals led at the Dilawar Abbas Tennis Complex.
“These initiatives are a great step towards promoting tennis at the grassroots level in Pakistan,” said the Senior Vice President of the PTF. He stated his opinion that these developmental programs will be crucial in producing fresh talent and raising Pakistani athletes’ level of competitiveness on the global stage.
