Netanyahu: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has once again warned Hamas that the latest attacks in Gaza are just the beginning, and that they will continue to act as long as Hamas poses a threat to Israel.
According to private TV Geo News, despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel carried out airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on the night between Monday and Tuesday, killing more than 400 Palestinians, including children, and injuring more than 560. Israel bombed various parts of Gaza, including Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis and Rajah, at dawn. These were the largest attacks by Israel since the start of the ceasefire with Hamas on January 19.
According to a foreign news agency, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video statement on Tuesday that Hamas has felt our strength in the past 24 hours and I promise you and them that this is just the beginning. The Israeli prime minister said that from now on, negotiations will only take place during war. He also said that military pressure is necessary to release additional hostages.
Netanyahu said that as long as Hamas continues to threaten Israel, Israel will increase its military power against Hamas.
During his video message, Netanyahu denied allegations that the resumption of attacks in Gaza is related to domestic political issues. He said that he sees that analysts are spreading lies in the media that there are political motives behind the recent actions of the Israeli army.
Yemen’s Houthi-dominated ANVAR Allah organization has warned that if Israel’s aggression in Gaza is not stopped, they will soon extend the attacks to Israel. Houthi leader Jamal Amr has said that they are at war with the United States, the war is likely to intensify, and the war will not end until the siege of Gaza is lifted.
Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that after Hamas repeatedly refused to release the hostages and rejected all proposals, the Israeli army has been instructed to take strong action against Hamas in Gaza. Israel has vowed to continue fighting Hamas until it returns all the hostages it kidnapped during the October 2023 attack.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has said that Israel has resumed attacks on civilians in Gaza, and that Israel is unilaterally terminating the ceasefire agreement. Hamas has called on friendly countries to pressure the United States to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza. Hamas says that friendly countries should pressure the United States to stop Israeli aggression against unarmed civilians.
It should be noted that negotiations on how to continue the ceasefire after the end of the first phase are at a standstill because Israel and Hamas do not agree on how to proceed in the next phase to end the war.
