Sri Lankan-born Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother, Kim Fernandes, has passed away.
According to Indian media reports, the actress’s mother breathed her last at Mumbai’s Literati Hospital on Saturday night. Kim Fernandes had suffered a heart attack on March 24, after which she had been hospitalized.
Jacqueline Fernandes was with her mother during her last days. The actress also refused to perform at the IPL opening ceremony last month for the same reason.
Kim Fernandes was of Malaysian and Canadian origin and had worked as an air hostess in Bahrain. She met a Sri Lankan, Elroy Fernandes, in the 1980s.
According to Indian media, Jacqueline, born in 1985, is the youngest of her parents’ four children, including two brothers and one sister. Jacqueline Fernandez made her Bollywood debut with Enjoy Ghost’s 2009 fantasy action comedy Aladdin.
