Notification issued banning import: The government of Pakistan has banned the import of all kinds of goods from India in view of the recent tension, a notification of which has also been issued.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce states that the federal government has decided to ban the import of all kinds of goods from India in view of national security and public interest.
According to the notification, the decision was taken under subsection 3 of the Import and Export Control Act, 1950, according to which the import of goods from India would be banned. Indian goods passing through Pakistan by sea, land or air will also be banned.
The notification will also ban exports from other countries to India. This order will not apply to letters of credit issued before this order. The new restrictions will not apply to imports or exports for which bills of lading have already been issued.
