In a statement on social media, Donald Trump wrote that “After a long night of American talks, I am happy to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries for using common sense and great intelligence; thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also confirmed the development and said that “Pakistan and India have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
