Malaysian airline announces: After receiving approval from the Civil Aviation Authority, a new Malaysian airline has announced that it will begin operating flights to Pakistan.
The announcement by AirAsia Airlines that it will begin operating flights to Karachi in May 2025, together with the Civil Aviation Authority’s approval for AirAsia’s flight operations, is good news for Pakistan’s aviation industry, according to Express News.
AirAsia is starting flights to Karachi from May 30, initially the airline will operate four flights weekly between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur. This is a new milestone in the international network expansion of AirAsia Airlines, the arrival of a new foreign airline will create job opportunities in Pakistan.
AirAsia operates flights on a total of 22 routes and is the only low-cost airline in Malaysia to provide direct service to Karachi. Aviation experts say that this new route will increase cheap connectivity between the two countries.
