Elon Musk distributes: Billionaire Elon Musk has given out $1 million checks to Wisconsin voters ahead of a crucial Supreme Court election, even as the state’s highest court has refused to intervene.
Musk announced the scheme earlier this week. Tuesday’s election is expected to be a close one. Wisconsin Attorney General and Democratic leader Josh Cole has filed a lawsuit to block the split.
According to the BBC, the election could tip control of the state’s Supreme Court to Republicans and is being billed as the most expensive judicial election in US history. “We just want the judges to do their jobs,” Musk said at a rally on Sunday night, before handing out $1 million checks to two voters. Both men had signed a petition against the active judges.
