Hearing of 4 cases: The Naumai incident, the Askari Tower attack, and the Shadman police station fire were among the four cases that were tried in jail by the Anti-Terrorism Court.
Hearing of 4 cases, Private television network Dunya News reports that the court drafted amended indictments against PTI officials in three different cases. In the cases of the Askari Tower attack, the burning of police cars close to Zaman Park, and Jinnah House, the defendants were charged. Charges were disputed by Dr. Yasmin Rashid and other defendants. On March 13, the court called witnesses to testify against the defendants. At the following hearing, a revised indictment will be presented in the Shadman police station burning case.
At Kot Lakhpat Jail, the hearing was presided over by Manzar Ali Gul, the Administrative Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court. The prosecution has requested that the indictment in the cases be amended, and the court has granted their request. On all counts and clauses, the prosecution has asked to re-indict them.
In addition to Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Dr. Yasmin Rashid appearing in detention, the judge permitted the prosecution to alter the indictment, and Khadija Shah and Sanam Javed appeared along with other accused on bail.
In the case, among the accused on bail are Sanam Javed, Alia Hamza, Tayyaba Raja, Khadija Shah, and Rubina Jamil. Advocates Rana Mudassar Umar and Burhan Moazzam Malik appeared on behalf of the defendants.
Note that on May 9, the PTI leaders are said to have incited a riot and insurrection among their employees.
