In the days ahead, US President Donald Trump has expressed his wish for a full ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump said he hopes Russia would accept the ceasefire agreement, that he will welcome Ukrainian President Zelensky to the White House once more, and that he will speak with the Russian president this week, according to private TV Dunya News.
The French president, meanwhile, praised the US-Ukraine negotiations in Jeddah and called the proposal for a potential 30-day truce a significant step forward.
