Imran Khan moves court: On May 9, Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), requested an early hearing of bail applications in eight instances at the Lahore High Court.
Through his attorney, Barrister Salman Safdar, the PTI founder submitted a number of applications, according to private TV station Dunya News. Imran Khan submitted a number of applications in the case of the Jinnah House attack as well as others. The founder of the PTI claimed in the appeal that he was named in the cases on the charge of plotting political retaliation.
He petitioned the High Court for bail in eight cases, according to the application, which was heard on January 16. The bail applications were not scheduled for hearing following the police notice.
According to the PTI founder, the bail applications ought to be scheduled for a quick hearing. According to common law, justice must not only be served but also be perceived as such. On May 9, the court ought to set up an early hearing for the bail requests in the eight cases.
