Israel’s aggression on Gaza: According to a report by a US think tank, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more journalists than the combined number of journalists killed in both world wars, the Vietnam War, the American Civil War, the Yugoslav Wars and the US war in Afghanistan.
Israel’s aggression on Gaza, The Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs said in its report that the Gaza war is the deadliest war for journalists ever recorded. 232 journalists have lost their lives in the Israeli aggression and attacks that began in October 2023, which shows an average of 13 reporters killed per week.
According to Al-Arabiya, at least two more journalists have been reported dead since the report was published, including Palestine Today TV reporter Yousef al-Fiqawi, who was martyred on Monday. A female Palestinian journalist, Islam Mekdad, was martyred on Sunday, along with her husband and child.
Israel overnight attacked journalists’ tents outside two major hospitals in the Gaza Strip, Al-Nasr Hospital in Khan Yunis and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central city of Deir al-Balah, killing at least two people and wounding nine, including six reporters.
According to medical sources, a horrific video of the Israeli attack on Al-Nasr Hospital is circulating on the Internet, in which Palestine Today journalist Ahmad Mansour can be seen burning alive, while Palestinians and aid workers try to save him. Wael Abu Omar, a Palestinian journalist based in Gaza, told X that his colleague Ahmad Mansour was burned by Israeli missiles and is now in intensive care with severe burns.
