Modi government bans: Taking the Amalgam incident as a basis, the Indian government recently banned a song by Sikh singer Zara Gill, which expresses love for Pakistan.
Modi government bans, According to the daily Ummat, the Sikh singer’s song “Asin Murdabad Nain Keh Sakde Bhal Ke Vi Pakistan Na” has created a stir on YouTube and social media. The song links love for Pakistan with the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak, and the song tells how to call the place where Guru Nanak spent his life dead.
The Modi government took notice and banned the publication and broadcast of the song in eastern Punjab.
According to sources, the song is going viral on YouTube and social media users are calling it a message of interfaith harmony and love. This ban is being called another step against human rights, freedom of expression and religious harmony.
Analysts say the Indian government is unsuccessfully trying to defame Pakistan through false flag operations, media propaganda, and religious extremism, while public opposition to such measures is growing.
