Pakistan’s befitting reply: The Foreign Office Spokesperson has strongly reacted to the Indian Foreign Minister’s remarks regarding minorities in Pakistan.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson said in his statement that India is not in a position to be a champion of minority rights. India itself has been continuously violating the rights of minorities. In Pakistan, state institutions ensure the protection of minorities as a matter of policy.
In India, actions against minorities are often carried out with the consent of government elements. It has been proven that hatred and violence against minorities are systematically promoted in India.
He further said that the discriminatory citizenship law, demolition of minority homes, Gujarat massacre are open facts, the demolition of Bar Masjid, construction of a temple, attacks on mosques and shrines are also proof, India has a history of systematic and serious violations of the rights of minorities, especially Muslims, it is better that the Indian government looks into its own pockets instead of pointing fingers at other countries, India should ensure the protection and welfare of minorities, including Muslims, and the Indian government should take practical steps to protect the places of worship and heritage of minorities.
