According to Indian media, this police charge sheet has raised many more questions related to the attack, the answers to which are very important for a transparent investigation.
In the charge sheet, the police say that out of the 20 fingerprints collected from the scene, only one matches the accused Shariful Islam.
According to the charge sheet, the only fingerprint that matches the accused out of the 20 was found on the eighth floor of Saif Ali Khan’s residence, however, the other 19 fingerprints taken from the house have no connection with the accused. These could be those of people who used to visit the actor.
The police have not yet been able to verify who these 19 fingerprints belong to, as any of them could be an accomplice or facilitator of the attacker.
It cannot be ruled out that there may be more than one attacker, but the police have so far limited the investigation to the accused Shariful Islam.
Shariful Islam was arrested by the police from Bangladesh, and the fingerprint match proved that he is the main suspect.
