Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Maldives drug smuggling attempt foiled

Saudi Arabia: Attempts to smuggle drugs have been stopped by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in a number of nations.

The ANF spokeswoman told private TV channel Express News that 312 grams of hashish were found in the shoes of a traveler heading to Dubai at Islamabad International Airport, and 2.382 kilograms of ice were discovered concealed in the trolley luggage of a traveler heading to Saudi Arabia.

At Lahore Airport, 100 heroin-filled pills were found in the stomach of a traveler, including a woman traveling to Jeddah. A package that was shipped to the Maldives via a Karachi courier service contained 94 grams of heroin. In the narcotics bust, 10 people were taken into custody, and 61.488 kg of drugs valued at over 4.5 million were found.

The spokesperson stated that 500 grams of hashish were found on a suspect close to the GT Road Rawalpindi bus stop. Three suspects were taken into custody after 36 kg of hashish was found in a car and a motorcycle close to the railway gate in Gujarat.

An abandoned motorcycle near a bus stop on GT Road in Peshawar yielded 15.6 kilogram of hashish. Two women were found in possession of six kilograms of hashish close to the Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza in Attock. Under the Narcotics Control Act, cases have been filed against the apprehended suspects, and an investigation has been started.
