Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League, has stated that there is darkness everywhere and that the situation does not appear to be getting better.
Details show that Usman Dar and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed appeared in the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi on May 9th, when 11 cases were heard. Attorneys for a few of the defendants also showed up in court during this time. The accused were given copies of the challans from the May 9 cases. All of the defendants who showed up in court were given copies. Copies of the challans were also given to former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, and the hearing of the 11 cases from May 9 was postponed to April 12 without any further action.
“My Umrah journey was excellent, but I do not see the situation improving, there is darkness everywhere, I see only darkness,” Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League, said in a brief statement to the reporters outside the court.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the former Federal Interior Minister, also called the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express a terrible act and strongly denounced it. He added that “such incidents of terrorism are a conspiracy to weaken Pakistan, but the entire nation will unite and confront them.” He asked all Pakistanis to offer particular prayers for peace and security in the beloved country on this special occasion, especially those traveling to the Harams for Umrah.
