Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), has claimed that the United States’ weapons caches in Afghanistan are currently being used against Pakistan.
Senator Siddiqui emphasized during his speech in Parliament that these weapons are escalating regional security challenges.
He underlined that Pakistan’s efforts to fight terrorism have been recognized by former US President Donald Trump, who also stated that the US and Pakistan have a common goal in fighting terrorism.
He reflected on the past and brought up the devastating attack on the Army Public School (APS), emphasizing the importance of maintaining national unity in such situations.
The National Action Plan (NAP), which was created to combat terrorism but is still only half implemented, should be completely implemented, he asked all political parties to put aside their differences.
The PML-N leader also emphasized Pakistan’s tremendous sacrifices, pointing out that terrorism has claimed the lives of about 80,000 of its residents.
He urged immediate action to bolster counterterrorism and national security initiatives.
