China has condemned the illegal unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that China will take all necessary measures to safeguard the rights and interests of Chinese enterprises. We do not accept the US sanctions. We are the largest importer of Iranian oil.
According to Western media, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that China always opposes illegal unilateral sanctions and abuse of long-arm jurisdiction, and urged the United States to stop interfering in and damaging the normal trade and economic cooperation between China and Iran.
Mao Ning made this statement when he was asked to comment on the sanctions imposed by the United States on an oil refinery in Shandong and an oil terminal in Guangdong regarding the import of oil from Iran.
In response, Mao Ning added that China will take all necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
